Richard, please do what Eugen asked, send the output of this command in
your terminal: $ ekiga -d 4 2>output.log
http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Debugging_Ekiga

There could be a situation in which it is the ISP who is blocking VoIP
traffic or just blocking specific VoIP servers like ekiga.net and
diamondcard.us.

It is happening here in Israel, all of our ISPs of Israel, who
"happened to be" also telephony service providers, are blocking SIP
servers, even when they are no longer allowed to do so according to
by the corrupted courts in Israel, and guess what, about 60% of the
telephony calls in Israel are being done through SIP VoIP (it even says
so in the router which the telephone is connected to) with the
ID-Telephone-Number of your so called "fixed/land-line" telephone so
that you'll pay the old expensive prices, can you FREAKING believe it?!!

Generally, this shows how stupid and uninformed the Israeli
populace is by its ignorant and by its carelessness (Oh, well! that's
why we pay very high prices for very cheap things).

This is the output of "ekiga -d 4 2>output.logekiga -d 4" from my
client which was connected to an infamous Israeli ISP provider who is
blocking SIP traffic illegally and even though this ISP is NOT a
land-line telephony provider.

So much for "free speech" and honesty, and they say that they only
provide "regular internet" as in html web pages LMAO!

I told them that they just need to provide internet access without any
other effort to make html web pages possible to reach to
In other words, I meant, they just need to provide internet
	access without blocking anything else.
Which is, in other words, just give me the internet hub/pipe
and I'll decide which protocols I want to utilize when I like
	to.
and, in return, they have implied that I am stupid and that I don't
know what I'm talking about.
