[xslt] String to node-set within XSLT

Greetings -

I'm wondering if a function ala saxon:parse() has any planned 
implementation. This is highly useful in processing user-provided input 
that may be XML, such as editing XML/XSLT within an XSLT-generated web 
page.

I'm willing to write it if it's a desired feature.
