Yes, they do:
jo tab:~/projects/local/mod_i18n/trunk$ xmllint --html --stream
--pattern "p" examples/Straight.html
Node /html/body/p matches pattern p
Next question is if I can get the dirty deed done to have it accept the
i18n namespace in HTML. But I'll try and see ...
