[xml] Disabling default entities

Hi All,

I'm trying to add an XML block in an existing document as a new child (the content in the xmlNewChild), but while doing it the "<" and ">" characters are being replaced by the predefined entities. Is there a way to disable those entities? 

Or, any other way to accomplish the task?
