I believe that U+0001 is not a valid character in XML 1.0 [1] and is
a valid character in XML 1.1 [2].
Yes, one of the reasons why I will never implement XML-1.1 in libxml2.
XML is a textual format. With XML-1.0 5th edition, the only thing useful
missing from the 1.1 specs is the xmlns:foo="" allowing to undefine non
default namespace bindings in a subtree, but we can't add this to XMLNS 1.0
