trionan.c is already implemented for symbian. Bjorn helped me a lot in that.

  I have no idea what the devel enviromnet looks like for it, nor
I assume 99% of the users of this list. libxml2 code should be quite
portable, especially now that you have trio implemented. Now it all depends
on what subset you need on that platform and the kind of makefiles
you're using, and that can't be guessed by us.
  Use ./configure --help on linux or Unix to see what are the
various parts you can select and include/libxml/*version.h to see
how those are included in or not.
