[xml] Building from CVS, autoconf error on configure.in

Sorry if this is a FAQ, I just checked out libxml2 and libxslt from CVS (no tags) and 
autoconf fails on libxml2/configure.in and produces a ./configure that doesn't work.

Any suggestions?
