  Very first thing to do is retry with 2.5.10, there have been some
changes in that area in the last 2 release !
Then use xmllint --stream to try to reproduce the problem, if reproducible
send the XML input and the command used.
Then if this still work but some sample code can show the problem
then provide back the XML input and the code.
