[xml] Build Problem libxml2-2.5.9 on AIX

This is defect is being reposted after joining the mailing list.

Problem Description:
libxml fails to build

Replicating Defect:
OS AIX 5.2.

1. ./configure works without errors.

2. Update Makefile to use xlc instead of gcc or cc.
run make

Output:
The build fails with the following output.

undefined.
make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1.
