Hi,

This time I had a file that had garbage in it, and that caused libxml2 to
loop.

./testHTML --push repeated with:

Is it reasonable to expect the parser to deal with anything thrown at it?

  yes, it's a bug.

The file is at http://hank.org/modules/19980206154614.html

The patch is at
http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/cvsquery.cgi?module=gnome-xml&branch=HEAD&branchtype=match&dir=gnome-xml&file=&filetype=match&who=veillard&whotype=match&sortby=Date&hours=&date=explicit&mindate=10%2F17%2F01+11%3A44&maxdate=10%2F17%2F01+11%3A46&cvsroot=%2Fcvs%2Fgnome

It might be a bit brutal, i.e. may abort abruptly in the middle of
a corrupted file, but at least it should not hang looping anymore.
