Configure is not tied to "GNU-compilers" but to be able to
run a Unix shell.
If you can't do that well look at the Windows specific
include files.
Well, Win32 isn't a problem. It's rather a problem that
i've to handle
with a few different UNIX-dialects (HP-UX, AIX, SINIX, LINUX)
and that the distribution process for these platforms is automated,
so i'm actual constrained to provide one set of header-files
(including differentiation via "#ifdef _TARGET_[PLATFORM]"
preprocessor-
directives).
Well seems you have a problem with your "distribution process" if it
can't handle configure for localized tests.
Yep, that's surely true. Unfortunately i've no influence on that part... 8(
