Right, but the way the external loader is created is not simple,
first it goes through the SAX interface which makes things harder,
then it also depends on whether the parser is validating or not ...
If you find the routine where both parser contexts are accessible I
will propagate the _private field (like I did previously for Matt Sergeant).

I didn't closed that bug because I agree with the argument that a
more general context framework is needed incorporating this kind of
extensibility needs and encapsulating what is currently done with global
variables. Problem is that I don't see how to do this without either
very convoluted code or API changes, so it's kept as a TODO so far ...
