Indeed. We ought to extract all the NaN and Inf stuff into a separate file.
What are needed for XPath are portable implementations of:
- isnan()
- isinf()
- initialization routine to get a +INF a -INF and a NAN
And make the lib consistently use these - everywhere where the use is
needed.
all this according to the IEEE 754 standard and the available implementation
for the C double type.
