Re: No focus on map hint



We should ensure that windows launched from an xterm for example are
able to set this hint properly.  Perhaps we should augment your
suggestion to say that applications wishing to have normal map semantics
but for which it is not practical to determine a timestamp, that the
timestamp should be set to CurrentTime.

Alternatively, we could forget the environment variable and say that all
newly launched applications wishing to have normal map semantics should
set the time stamp to CurrentTime.  Though the environment variable does
have the "don't interrupt later user actions" advantage.  So I think the
environment variable is probably a good idea, as long as we include some
support for legacy launchers.
