Yes it is Mac OS X, 10.7.4.  I do have gtk+ and gtk+3 installed, via
homebrew.  I can actually see the gtk.h file
at /usr/local/Cellar/gtk+3/3.4.4/include/gtk-3.0/gtk/gtk.h.
