[Vala] Advice for external libraries providing Vapis

Hi,

Is there some general advice I can give to an external library that wants
to provide a Vapi?  Any place I should point them, examples of best
practices, etc?

I ask because I posted a bug on the WebKitGTK Bugzilla about including a
Vapi for the project, and I got a response asking for more info.
