[Vala] vala 0.12 and vala 0.16

Hi all:

I want to work with the new valide (which needs vala 0.12), but at the
same time I need vala 0.16. But packages in ubuntu/elementary have a
conflict, I can't have both at the same time.

Why does this happen? Why version 0.12 is incompatible with 0.16, but
can work along with 0.14 and 0.18?
