I think it is a bug in glib-2.0.vapi.

Although it looks irrelevant, this patch solves your problem.

I hate to dig this up again, but was this ever solved?  I am getting the
same error when I try and define a variable of type
"MarkupParserStartElementFunc" or any of the other callback types.
