Manually running ldconfig wasn't necessary after installing vala
releases before 0.9.4. 
Only with the transition to 0.9.6 release this was necessary (0.9.5 I
left out, but I guess there it changed) but with the transition from
0.9.6 to 0.9.7 this wasn't necessary any more.

I guess it's because of the vala version suffix change from 1.0 to 0.10
in the 0.9.5 release.
