[Vala] Can i use vala for cross compiling?

Hi All,
I would like to use vala in embedded device, so can vala generate the
target binary directly? For example, 
'mipsel-linux-gnu-valac hello.vala -o hello' for the mips platform. 

BTW, is there any plan to add vala to GCC compiler collections?
