[Vala] switch-to-gir branch

Hi all,

What's the status of the switch-to-gir branch? It fixes bug 625026 which
is needed by the libpeas plugins (bug 622664). And seems to work well
otherwise.

It still doesn't support gir version 1.2 but cherry-picking the 2
commits in the 0.10-gir branch isn't hard (I can attach/push the
resulting patches if some lazy person wants them ;-p ).

Are there any other issues which need to be fixed before it can be
merged?
