Hi,
David Zeuthen wrote:
When the screen saver is running, the user may not be around to keep an
eye on their machine. There are a number of security attacks with a
specially crafted filesystem that can happen since the automounter
effectively performs mount, which is a privileged command, and reads the
directory contents.
Generally it seems like a good idea to me, but it also seems like this
could confuse users who might genuinely attach a device while the
screensaver is on, since nothing will ever happen until the user reattaches.
Having a dialog or libnotify bubble come up asking the user if they want
to mount the device for when the screensaver is turned off would
probably be a good thing.
