Hmm, the whole thing didn't reach the community by now, may be the
reason.

Same thing, until we provide some working code, nobody will even think
about it and stick with the 20th century stuff :).
It was the same thing with udev - there were a lot of discussions about
it, but for one year nothing really happened. Just after we got some
code, that proved the concept, we got more attention.

See you there :) But, what is the right way to connect to dbus? Another
daemon, or integrate it into dbus? Did you try something?
