This is very nice and interesting to have. i would like to look at it in a wider perspective. It is much better if this is implemented in a much wider context. like say a gedit window is dragged by the left corner of title bar that usually has the application's icon. The window can be dropped on a folder in nautilus to save it there, or it can be dropped on evolution's window to have a mail attachment, and many other uses for this would unfold.

This could be done when the XDS protocol is supported; see
