Thanks I was aware it was still available but hidden but discoverability
was the problem. I mentioned you can still get at the Run dialog by using
Alt+F2 but when I did not see it in the menus it was a long time before I
rediscoverd the keybinding. I really want the run dialog back in the
default menus.
I will have to search the mailing lists and see if I can dig up the
justification for removing it. Admittedly it does feel a little bit out
of place in the Mac style two panel layout but it is a daily essential for
me, I use the run dialog and type rather than bothering to add shortcuts
for things.
