Re: [Usability] Efficient navigation in nautilus

alias nw='nautilus [some options perhaps] $CWD'
and then a little script to the nautilus-scripts directory to open
a terminal (though this probably isn't doable yet, IIRC).

Very nice. I have checked for the correct alias:
alias nw='nautilus $PWD&'
This one works for me. No further need for a shortcut in the terminal then ;-)

But the shortcut in nautilus to open a shell would still be nice.

A shortcut I use is that you can add Terminal to the list of programs you can open a folder with, so it appears in the Open With submenu.

It only seems to work with gnome-terminal, but if you use that you are away. Even if you don't use gnome-terminal, like me, it's a reasonable substitute!

(This is on Gnome 2.6.0)

HTH,

Mike.
