When compared with the clipboard of the Window File Explorer there is the
following difference (in addition to the Shelf being able to hold multiple
objects): in Windows I must decide whether to move or copy a file when
putting it on the clipboard; with the Shelf I decide whether to move or copy
an object when dragging it from the Shelf (and I can repeat this action
(because the object doesn't vanish from the Shelf!), thereby doing multiple
copies or correcting a wrong move action for example).
