Why do I have to set the DPI in 4 different places in X? If there were a
defined place for all apps to get this information from, it would be
better, I think.
Here are the four places I set it:
1) on the X command line in gdm, with X <...> -dpi 125
2) in gimp (well, at least gimp gets its default from the windowing
system)
3) in the font preferences page (which doesn't seem to default/link to
the X windowing system's setting)
4) in gnumeric's preferences, under Various/internal, which seems to
default to 96.
I suppose it's a minor detail, but it seems silly to have this setting
configurable (and worse, unlinked!) in so many places.
