Re: Bizzare Epiphany bookmarks (was Re: [Usability] Galeon (in Ximian2 )and probably all GTK2 versions)

I've been looking into epiphany after Alan did the suggestion. I must
say that it has some very stong points if it comes to handling
bookmarks.

Short wrapup of the epiphany 0.7.0 experience...

My views on epiphany usability and bookmarks:

- keep the fantastic websearch address bar. It's one of my most wanted
features ever. Maybe drop other search options like dictionaries, it
slows down the process of searching (two instead of one step when
comming from a toolbaar search thingy). btw. the extra search options
were imported from galeon.

- keep the bookmark searching in the address bar

- making bookmark searching in the address bar not case sensitive, would
be a lot less confusing.

- making bookmark searching in the address bar possible on a url level
as well as on page title. (not every page title includes usefull
information)

- making bookmark titles a fixed width to avoid clutter on lower
resolutions and smaller displays.

- having the "most visited" extension expanded to a submenu level would
be a GREAT and I repeat GREAT feature with a huge value.

- a toolbar for submenus and search entries would be nice => this would
be even necessary if you make the address bar only available for web
searches.

- keep the system that takes care of avoiding marking a same page twice,
this could have avoided some of my previous weeding sessions in Galeon.
:-)

- my excuses if I offended anyone with previous statements.

If you want, I could elaborate on certain points with examples.
