Hmm, if that was entirely true, would people be so keen on having $HOME
as their desktop? Seems to me people are prepared to go to reasonable
lengths to look at/manipulate things behind their windows if there's a
good enough reason to do so, not that I can be bothered myself
admittedly :)
(Why shouldn't I be able to run my stock ticker stretched across my
desktop background if I want to, for example? Enough of it would still
peek through between the windows to make it useful...)
