*please* read the usability list archives. Both options have been
discussed at length. I for one am glad that Seth made a (IMHO right)
decision on something.
I think there are more pressing matters to discuss now, in anticipation of
GNOME 2.0. For instance, afaik no final decision has yet been made wrt the
default panel layout in GNOME2, but I've seen various proposals.
Question for the list: what's the status of the default layout?
