The funny thing of these anacdotes is that they always forget to mention what the color for danger is in that localised situation ;-) If red is safe & good, then what color represents danger? (White? i remeber chinese not being big fans on white)

Ps, not to stir up any old flame wars, but out of curiosity, does the gnome2 platform keep track of these things? I distinctly remeber seeing red cancel buttons, yellow warnings, and green ok buttons in the gnome 2 alpha platform.

Note that in China, red==safety, red==good luck.
Which is why so many restaurants and storefronts have red signs.

It's the same in malaysia, "Colour red in Malaysia.Means Good",
a friend told me :-)
