When I worked at SoftQuad we shipped a product (Panorama, an SGML web
browser plugin) that had a thing like a 2nd scrollbar that showed
a line for every occurrence of a search term.  Customers liked it
a *lot* and it was very useful.

I have not shown the search dialogue box -- its one claim to fame was
that it had a history of previous searches, and choosing one put that
text into the search field in place of anything already there.
