[Usability]a bug in the "GNOME Menu"

After clicking on the GNOME foot the Gnome Menu pops up.

The problem is that it is off by a few pixels to the right which leaves a
green stripe on the left side of the menu (the color of the stripe depends
on the color of the background ).

It also overlaps by a few pixels with the bottom panel, which is really
annoying and noticeable if one uses 24 pixel panel.
