Re: [Usability] newbie suggestions ...

Hi. I'm the guy working on this section. You've linked the cvs version,
so please note that that is in flux as I'm merging comments from the first
round of internal review. (Which occurred before the release.)

This is there now. See the Edit menu.

The text doesn't match the graphics in CVS at the moment.

Provide a general subject line and I'll reply more quickly. ;-)
I have the setup to handle the docbook work and it's easier for me to
read and type than to apply a patch in any format. Plain text, especially
with explanations, is more rapidly digested.

We've standardized on Control for shortcuts (a.k.a. accelerators in toolkit),
and Alt for access keys (a.k.a. mnemonics in toolkit)

Yes.

Find Next has been chosen (at the moment ;-).

One of the possibilities is to remove the Replace item and merge that function
with Find. Replace isn't a good word for all cases because some apps provide
a Find and Change function. (Think of adding markup rather than changing
content). The result of a Find and Change command would be a utility window
containing both instead of a dialog.

Cheers, and I hope brevity doesn't sound like flames,
