Hi,

If I remember correctly actually the miner updates the feeds based on
the mfo:updateInterval property of the channel, telling libgrss to
use that interval.
Yes thats correct. When i save the document, i can set this value and
(at least what i observed) he fetches these channels within that time.
Libgrss should already support a forced update but It's not currently
used in the miner.
I looked into libgrss and registered a API to refresh manually, yes.
But as long as i use tracker as controller for my application, i cannot
advertise a "refresh now" button. I need a trigger for an action like
this. I am not sure what happens when i pause/resume the miner. Maybe
he gets then forced to update now?
On which application are you working on?
Basically its a clone of Gnome News. The corresponding repository is
there: github.com/gwutz/news
Thanks for your respond

Hi all, i am new to tracker and using trackers ability to fetch RSS
feeds and save them in DB. I want to implement a refresh-action
into my
application, but i dont see a possibility with the exposed DBus
interface to to something like this. Is this possible or should we
work
on tracker-miner-rss to implement a feature like that?
