We decided on the latter approach for the time being: adapt Tracker
into a library that can be used by sandboxed apps to provide mining,
monitoring and query functionality for whatever directories that app
can see.
What about the extractor? Is it going to run in the same process as
the application? Or will it continue to be separate?
As a separate process (since it might crash) but inside the same
sandbox. It would be pretty risky to have the app in the sandbox
sending arbitrary data to a process outside the sandbox.
