That depends on the person using it I would say.

I personally never used it and use tracker-info/tracker-sparql for most 
of my searches. That's not to say it's not useful for others which is 
why I asked on the mailing list.

Originally it was a show case or test tool. It has not been superseded.

It's always in the git history for people that want to resurrect it 
privately. If there is greater interest, we can always bring it back, 
but I didn't see any interest in using it since it was added to git in 
the first place, so...
