About the RSS miner: yes, that's true it is no longer maintained.
Many times I began to clean up, add and correct things around, always
I forgot it due unavailability of spare time. Still pending are
management of enclosures, upgrade to latest version of libgrss (also
poorly maintaned by his own) and many other purposes.

On the other side, I think actually no top-level application is
depending from it and from data produced by it so I suppose nobody
will care about his disappear.

If you think it may be usefull to someone I will at least try to
revive it a little bit, otherwise just kill him with no mercy.
