It works fine. I updated it recently.

Yes, yes.

If you have the libnautilus-extension-dev package, but once done, 
running configure should pick it up and build it.

Then if the prefix is /usr it will just work on next restart of 
Nautilus. If prefix is different you will have to use the 
--with-nautilus-extensions-dir=/path/to/dir when running autogen/configure.
