[Tracker] tracker 0.10: some files aren't indexed

Hi,

I am using tracker on a huge directory, and some of the files aren't indexed (approximately 35%). More precisely, tracker-info returns basic metadata about the file (file name and such) but nothing about the content of the file itself. I have a special exporter plugin that should fill in some information, and I can't see it.

If I use tracker-control -f to tell tracker to index a particular file that was not indexed, the file meta-data appears correctly. But because the number of files not indexed is huge (24500), and new files appear constantly, I can't really index files manually. Note: tracker-miner-fs -e says the file is eligible for mining.

I noticed a strange behaviour with the miner. When I start the miner (tracker-control -s), it starts crawling the directories. It stays stuck at 1% and never moves beyont 1%. After a few minutes though, it goes to the Idle state (without ever completing the crawling). Then if I try to terminate the miners (tracker-control -t miners) it doesn't want to quit. And subsequent calls to tracker-control to gets its status hangs. I have to kill it (tracker-control -k miners). It seems some part of tracker-miner-fs is just stuck. This might not be related, and the slowdown might be caused by the amount of data, but I included it anyway.

Thanks,

Mildred
