Yes and no :)

For tracker 0.8.x, yes.

If you're talking about tracker 0.10.x, then the engine and command line 
binaries certainly works there. Up to this point, all UIs require GTK+ 
2.x except the tracker-search-bar.

This is not consistent right now and we have a branch to upgrade all to 
GTK+ 3.x which Carlos has been working on actually:
