[Tracker] Changing tracker preferences before restart

Hello folks,

I want the tracker daemon to start looking in /mnt path rather than $HOME after a tracker-control -r. How do I set the preferences to set this configuration in tracker-miner-fs.cfg? Can this be set via commandline (No fancy graphics on my machine)?
