Yep, you should be able to rebuild the tracker-status-icon by editing 
this line:

  ./src/tracker-status-icon/tracker-status-icon.c +222

Which has the following:

  set_global_keybinding (icon, "<Ctrl><Alt>S");

Or, just don't run tracker-status-icon, that should do it.
