Here's what I came across after some use:
Great thanks.
* C-s and C-f should put focus on search bar
Done.
* results from grid view can't be opened by double-clicking or
pressing Return key
Done.
* takes a long time to load when search terms yields multiple results;
it becomes sluggish that way, almost unresponsive; maybe add Paging
for the results?
We do use paging kind of :)
The paging should be done better, right now we only get the first n
results (1000 I think). I need to change the way we draw the results so
we only get the ones we see initially and preload the others in the
background. Will take some effort though.
* does not display results for PDF docs
What all PDF documents? Works fine here! Are you sure you have support
compiled for tracker-extract?
* me not sure if you should store history in "~/.config/tracker";
should it not rather be under "~/.local/share/tracker"?
Yes it should, changed. Thanks :)

Also, there is now a tracker-needle component in Bugzilla and I have
rebased against master tonight.
