Hello John
Tracker can be configured to freeze indexing when on battery, and
resume
when on AC. You can look at tracker-preferences, or at the
configuration
file in ~/.config/tracker .
As for configuration, most components can be enabled/disabled at
compile
time, or at run time (you can run Tracker without the component that
crawls the filesystem for example).
