Greetings,
I was doing some testing and I was at a loss to explain this behavior. Maybe someone understands why this happens.
Tracker version 0.8.12
test directories: /foo - 18,109 items, 1.0Gb /bar - 40,876 items, 863Mb
Starting with no tracker database (for each of the following)
index /foo takes 1 minute 20 seconds
index /bar takes 1 minute 30 seconds
index /foo and /bar takes 2 minutes 55 seconds
Now if I index /bar after indexing /foo by changing tracker-miner-fs.cfg and no database clear it takes 1 hour to index /bar
However if I initiate a tracker-control -k and shut down the tracker processes after indexing /foo, then do a tracker-control -s and then index /bar it takes 1 minute, 40 seconds.
1 hour versus 1 minute 40 seconds??
Does anyone know what is happening here?
Thanks,
Ken Schmedding
