Hi Jamie,
So we have been in a state of bug fixing on Tracker trunk now for a good
few months ironing out issues we have found and preparing for a release.
We would like to make this release at the end of next week if possible.
How do you feel about this?
Would you like me to do the release or would you like to do it?
Are there any issues/questions you have before releasing?
I feel I need more time to asses this - can we delay releasing til next
week please
Yes, that's fine of course. Gives us more time to test some of the
crashers reported.
I ran it over the weekend and noticed some heavy disk IO
That might have been the evolution bug we fixed over the last couple of
days (recursively indexing evolution mail) - problematic because we get
CLOSE_WRITE for the folders.db quite often from Evolution re-reading the
file.
I plan to test it on much bigger volumes this weekend and check more of
the functionality and preference options. I also need to test upgrading
from 0.6.6 to make sure its a smooth transition
That makes sense. We have tried to fix a lot of the application bugs as
we go along. There might be some we missed.
On the whole it looks ok and it might just need some minor tinkering
before release - thanks for all the hard work guys!
No problem.
One further thing was about updating the website. Is this just an SVN
module we can checkout and update? If so, are you happy for me to do that?
