Hi, Martyn,

Hi :)

Is the push-mode evolution plugin works now for 0.6.94?

No. I was testing this this morning because I upgraded to Jaunty over
the weekend. The Evolution plugin pushes data to us, but our
implementation was slightly broken. After fixing it, we found that the
plugin on our side was constantly pushing data to the database but also
causing the indexer to be totally unresponsive. This means that we have
had to disable it for now. The changes required to fix this would add an
element of instability to the currently stable tracker-0.6 branch.

What about the old evo-push modules. Is that still working?

Those were not using push mechanisms but instead read from the raw data
as written by Evolution.

The format of this raw data has changed since latest version of
Evolution and therefore wont this code read from the new format.

This is/was also the reason for the development of the push-plugins.

Regretfully the new support didn't make it due to the previously
discussed problem. You can enable it and it'll somewhat work, but it'll
make other parts of Tracker unstable and unresponsive. Therefor it's by
default disabled.
