Re: [Tracker] tracker problem: search via evolution and from command line returns different results

Hmm,

Now, after reindexing, tracker-search and evolution don't find a certain
mail anymore which was found before indexing.
tracker.log says something of "is pausing tracker".

15 Sep 2008, 00:04:53:781 - file changes
to /home/tom/.evolution/mail/local/Inbox.lock is pausing tracker
15 Sep 2008, 00:04:53:870 - pausing indexing while client requests or
external disk I/O are taking place
15 Sep 2008, 00:04:54:871 - pausing indexing while client requests or
external disk I/O are taking place

Then I closed and reopened evolution and the mail is found again.
tracker-search from the command line does not get the mail if I search
for a word in the body, but does find the mail when the search term is
in the headers.

Okay,

A trackerd --reindex fixed that one!! But this still is not reliable,
since I don't want to reindex every time I am not sure there is no
result to my query.

Hallo,

When I search the attached mail from the command line with
tracker-search -s emails william anderson electricitybook, there is no
result. So does the gui tracker-search.
If I try the same search in evolution, that mail is found.
I also found oddity in evolution, when I searched for a word in the
message body and there would be no result. I closed and reopened
evolution, and suddenly, this mail is found.

How can I track down such problems?
My tracker version is 0.6.6 on ubuntu hardy. evolution version is
2.22.3.1, which I rebuilt from source to get tracker support.

Betreff: Thomas - September newsletter - Convert your car to
electric...
Datum: Tue, 26 Aug 2008 14:51:50 -0400

Hello Thomas:

I remember not even a year ago when I could fill up my car for about
$35, but now that price has almost tripled... over $90 to fill up
now! The people at the off grid living homestead are always trying to
be innovative, so awhile back they decided to convert their car to
electric.

It was actually easier than they thought, and cost much less than
buying one of those new electric cars or paying to get it
converted. They used their experience with building wind generators
and solar panels to find free batteries which saved them literally
thousands of dollars.

We've got a free report for you one the website about it.

Hope you like it.

Also... if any of you need to update your email address, please use
the link at the bottom of this email to do that. Too many of you ask
me to change your email address for you and you don't even provide
your old email address! You have to do this yourself. It's very easy
and quick...
